Make something out of Nothing...

That is always a good way to make life a little more interesting . That is just what the Artists in Beautiful Losers did. They made art that reflected the lifestyles they led in the early 1990's. This weekend is the last weekend it is showing in New York City. Buy your tickets online and head out to check it out. My homie and I are pretty excited about going !

Art by John Clark

Good one ...

What I did with my second to last summer Friday

I was determined to go to Ikea it was either this yesterday or never. I am a very impatient person. When I want something , I want it now. Don't mistake me for a brat. It's just that I like getting things done. Well , important things . This time getting one side of my room to a more organized state was my priority . My car broke down and my dad didn't want to lend me his or take me. Forget asking other people , people are quick to ask me for a ride somewhere but are never available when I need them.. any who, that is a different story . I came into this world alone , and if I must , I get thing done by my damn self.
I signed up for ZIP CAR which usually takes about 1 to 3 business days to get approved. I lucked out , I was approved , and went to pick up my Zip card . I booked a car, went to pick it up, and was on my way to Ikea in Brooklyn wit my sis . Ate some food, got a desk a chair, a mirror, and a curtain rod in less then an hour ( I can't do Ikea for too long).
At home I built my desk and my chair. Here I am writing from my desk and not from the dining room table, the living room sofa or my bed. I did fail to mention that I hurt my foot trying to open one of the boxes last night. I have been sitting here all day writing blog entries and catching up on missed TV episodes instead of laying at the beach. Hopefully I will feel better by tonight and get to being social again.

I might be late ...

However, it is exhilarating to catch full episodes of MTV shows now. I hardly have the time to sit and watch a show when it comes on TV.

Reality Check : Exiled

FINALLY , these monsters are getting a reality check ! Starting on Monday August 25th at 10:30pm eastern time, MTV will present it's new series, Exiled . MTV will be sending the Super sweet 16 brats individually to third world countries such as India , Peru and Africa to experience life without the luxuries they were raised with. I doubt they will change , being that they will return to their luxurious living . I would have actually preferred them staying with a indigent family , right here in the United States. There are enough families living in poverty, there is no need to go over seas. I would also like to suggest a Super sweet 16 in the hood ... a normal sweet sixteen reality show, where the parent's actually struggle to make this event a memorable and meaningful event and not something to brag about.

The Healer and the Crack head

After waxing I walked around 14th to do a little shopping. I walked out of Urban Outfitters and there was a very doped up man bent over and sleeping , of course he was standing up. I wanted to take a photograph so badly but someone came and woke him up. That was the end of that show... I kept walking , and I kid you not when I say I walked half a block and came upon another dope head. This time it was a woman. Two ladies that obviously did not understand that dope heads never fall once they fall asleep, were holding her to prevent her from falling.
I just stood there and watched all of this. You know, what I love about the city is that things happen randomly and you just have to be there paying attention while it happens or you will miss it. My friends always wonder why I always see the good stuff . I guess it's becuase I take all of New York in, outfits, food, crazos , and all.
The girls decided to call an ambulance because the lady was not responding , she was just knocked out standing up . Two minutes later a young man comes with a sign "Spiritual Healer ." He stops in front of the lady and starts doing some hand movement . DUDE , she snapped out of it, grabbed her bag and walked away. I just went into nervous laughing mode and went on my merry way. I still don't believe that happened . What do you think about spiritual healing ?Have you seen it in action or could I just be buggin'?

Peace, Joy and good waxing to all. . .

My last waxing experience was abysmal , ripped skin and everything . I swore I was not going to wax again . Who was I kidding ? Not waxing is not a good look or a good all and shaving just raises the chances of ingrown hairs . Everything changed once Boom Boom arrived in my life. I booked an appointment through lifebooker. Life booker is this cool site that gives you the best deals on anything related to spa, beauty, health and fitness. Yes there are deals for men as well for waxing , mani's and pedi's :hint, hint:. Through Lifebooker you are able to set up your appointments. I set up my waxing appointment at Boom Boom Beauty Bar . Boom Boom is located at 35 7th ave between 12th and 13th they also have a location in Santa Rosa, California for my West Coast peeps.

Boom Boom is the place you would want to be in when prepping for a party, and of course everyday is a party . The music playing keeps your mind off the pain of waxing. The staff is awesome and naturally fit the environment. One of my favorite thing is the no double dipping in the wax aka ... no pubes in the wax. Services include the following:
Uptown (above the fabulous belt) waxing
Downtown ( below the fabulous belt ) waxing
Trip to brazil waxing
Bermuda Triangle waxing
Skinny Dipper waxing
Make up
For the boys: Back , Crack and Sack .

Book your appointment on Lifebooker before August 31st for 50% under the belt waxing . Also 1% of all services are donated to UNICEF.

It's Lunch Time!!

Okay - so my boss and I recruited interns for the Summer (four to be exact) and they are amazing.
We work really hard throughout the day, but when lunch time comes, we usually sit down together and talk shit for an hour...which is awesome.

These girls have a lot to chat about -- especially since they are from East Bubble Fuck, Westchester. Haha. That sounds funny -anyway - so usually we'll run downstairs to our beloved Metro for a Salad and some chips... afternoon one of the girls decided to bring in her lunch: A Turkey sandwich, chips and EASY MAC.

It is an amazing snack...we've all had and loved Mac n' Cheese and now it's offered in a to-go cup! Add water and pop in the Microwave and you're good to go! I love it. I've fallen in love with it...

Just wanted to voice that...

They even have a website with this photo:

I will be out there from the 25th of August till the 28th ....

I am representing Blue2 denim - which is a premium denim line at a low price point (Retails UNDER $100!!!) - and am willing to write personals for all you girls/guys that are sure to be attending...
