If this isn't a sign for me... I dont know what it is.

From The Daily Love:

"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don't make money your goal. Instead, pursue the things you love doing, and then do them so well that people can't take their eyes off you."- Maya Angelou, icon & poet.

"What we really want to do is what we are really meant to do. When we do what we are meant to do, money comes to us, doors open for us, we feel useful, and the work we do feels like play to us."- Julia Cameron, author of 'The Artist's Way'.

"If you believe that you must work hard in order to deserve the money that comes to you, then money cannot come to you unless you do work hard. Financial success, or any other kind of success, does not require hard work. It does require alignment of thought. You simply cannot offer negative thought about things that you desire and then make up for it with action or hard work. When you learn to direct your own thoughts, you will discover the true leverage of Energy alignment."- Esther Abraham-Hicks, best-selling author, speaker and OG teacher of the Law of Attraction.

"If all you focus on is money you will have a hard time getting any. Focusing on the money only is like focusing on the apple, but forgetting the seed. The seed of TRUE abundance is not money, but doing what you love. Love is the strongest energy in the Universe and if you step away from the life that you know and begin to step towards a life of doing what you love, you will be planting very powerful seeds. After enough time and care the seeds you plant will begin to blossom and bare amazing fruit. Money and many other forms of abundance will literally chase you. Focus on what makes you happy, take risks in that direction and don't let anyone tell you it isn't possible. Look to those who inspire you and ask yourself what would they do? These folks know about true abundance, take note."- Mastin Kipp, the 28 year old founder of The Daily Love.

From Free Will Astrology
(My horoscope for this week)

"You can have it all," says fashion designer Luella Bartley. "It's just really hard work." That's my oracle for you, Sagittarius -- not just for this week, but for the next three months as well. According to my reading of the astrological omens, the cosmos will indeed permit you to have your cake and eat it, too, as long as you're willing to manage your life with more discipline, master the crucial little details everyone else neglects, and always give back at least as much as you're given.

From the Astro Twins
(My horoscope for this week )

Your ruling planet Jupiter makes its annual transit this week, entering Pisces and your house of femininity, motherhood, home, and family. For much of 2010, putting down roots will be a grand theme in your life. This is a fortuitous time to explore the world of real estate, perhaps taking advantage of the tax breaks extended to first-time buyers. Projects involving women will color your year significantly. Embrace the spirit of sisterhood, as powerful women will usher in the next phase of your evolution. If you’ve dreamed of being someone’s mama, this could be your year to call in the stork, or adopt a pet if you’re the animal-lover that Sagittarians are reputed to be. Saturn turns retrograde in your sector of technology, groups, and friendships until May 30. Learning a new web-based skill or developing a digital media project could command much of your attention in the coming months–and also prove to be quite lucrative. On Friday, an eclipse in your money house brings some unexpected financial news. You may be in for a windfall but with this abundance comes a sizable amount of responsibility. Before you roll up your sleeves make sure this opportunity is in line with your big picture goals. Your time is precious Sag, so invest it in undertakings that get you out of the hamster wheel and on to the next level of life.

Believe in Love ...

I never knew how life could fade away
A little bit more each day
Without you I'm twice the fool
Oh, love
Believe me when I say I'm sorry
We've got to find a way to talk things over
Cause it's not over
Believe in love
Oh, love

The Good , The Bad and The Ugly ...

I am deeply saddened by the tragic event that has happened on the island I was born in: HispaƱola. For those of you who do not know, HispaƱola is the island between Cuba and Puerto Rico that is comprised of Haiti and the Dominican Republic. The Earthquake in Haiti has caused an extreme amount of casualties, which are currently unknown. There are thousands of people in the streets without homes, food or water. Basically "less than nothing." Many are missing. I can honestly tell you that I have not stopped thinking of our Haitian neighbors. I can not be at peace knowing that there are large amounts of people suffering. There have been times today where I have had to tell myself "yup, this really just happened," because I am still in disbelief. Then I would sit back and take it all in all over again.
While taking all of this in I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good thing is that the world is coming together for a good cause. I always mention what a cruel world it is and how I would love peace on earth one day. Peace on earth will not be able to happen without us coming together. I was filled with a little happiness when my dad was watching the Dominican news channel and the man speaking said, "we have to do something for our Haitian brothers and sisters!"Why did this make me happy? Months ago when I was in DR I saw first hand how Haitians were treated. I wasn't too happy about it. Most of the places I saw them in, they were either maids homeless or doing some other type of dirty work Dominicans felt they were too good to do. I had family tell me to "get out of the sun before you start looking like a Haitian" causing a heated conversation to remind them that OUR grandfather and half of our family is dark skin. I was even snapped on for hanging out with a cool Haitian dude that worked at the hotel we stayed at for the weekend. (sidenote: I will keep him and his family in my prayers) For me to hear that my country was helping the Haitians was a sigh of relief. I was honestly worried that nothing was going to be done.
The way we came together through social networks was amazing. I keep telling those anti-social network people that being part of a social network isn't a joke. You learn a lot and are able to do a lot because of these sites. We were able to donate $5 to Yele (Wyclef's earthquake fund), find sites to take food, clothing and medical supplies to, and even making sure that our loved ones were safe. Like @MartineATF , co-founder of All that's Fab. Had no idea she was in Heidi, but found out through twitter that her friends were worried and that eventually she was ok :o). ( you can follow Martine's personal blog HERE)

The bad and the ugly surprised the hell out of me. RACISM . Well call me naive, especially seeing the unexpected coming together. The first encounter totally blew my mind. I haven't felt this pissed off since ... since ... I don't even know. I was so pissed off ,I had violent thoughts, and those that know me KNOW that I am not a violent person. So these posts were taken off twitter. Please be aware that they are very disturbing and may cause you to react in a violent manner... BUT we're much better than that .. aren't we?

@ mollymshephard i wish youd stop hating on me @mariasoliz and @bbnansee we are good Christian women who know when god is sending black hate lol

@mollymshephard Seriously black people disgust me. why would i help haiti now? they deserve it for all you monkeys do to white america.

@ BBNanSEE I wish George Bush was still president, he'd know how to handle Haiti the right way...ignore it! <333>

There's a bunch where that came from... all I'm saying is that karma is a bitch and these little girls do not know what is coming at them ... let's pray that it's not as horrid as we secretly wish it was. The sad thing is that they were looking to get more "followers" and got more "followers" PEOPLE why support this behavior?
smh... im done thinking about this ... but before I leave here is something for you to see:

Currently reading: The Tipping Point

This is the second time I read The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. When I read it the first time it had no relevance to my life, therefore I did not grasp it as I was supposed to. At the present moment, it's a different story. As someone who has my own business and other projects I find this to be the right time to read The Tipping Point again.
I am now reading about connectors which are people who connect people to other people. People that know loads of people. While reading I asked myself how many connectors I have in my life and came up with 5 main ones. How many do you have? Hmmmmm... I wonder if they are the same people I know....

Last week which happened to be the last week of the year was the worse for me. I was so out of character, so cranky. Might have been the Lunar effect, or maybe it was the feeling of being stuck again. :shoulder shrug: Whatever it was calmed down as soon as I finished reading A New Earth by Eckhart Tolle. When I first started reading this book, it did state that it is in fact a life changing book. I expected to be changed a little but not as much as I have changed now.
In A New Earth, Tolle speaks about how the ego takes over the human mind causing dysfunction leading to things like anger, jealousy and unhappiness. Tolle also speaks about how to live in the NOW, not the past and future. The purpose of this book is to awaken you to figure out your life's purpose and become a more happier person. If you pick up A New Earth one day and do not find it interesting enough for your attention, then you are just not ready to become awakened. I on the other hand have been ready. I have woken up several times and told myself that something has got to change. I was tired of negative energy constantly being around me and not allowing me to be me. That is the first step of awakening; to be conscience of the negativity in your life.
Though the book has many touching moments throughout it, the last chapter of the book is what touched me the most it made me realize that "This, too, will pass." and it REALLY made me believe that things do happen the way they do for a reason.
Here is one from the many lessons in this book:
Three ways to align your life with the creative power of the universe:
  • Acceptance- For now this is what the situation is, this moment, requires me to do and so I do it willingly.
  • Enjoyment - When you make the present moment , instead of past and future, the focal point of your life, your ability to enjoy what you do and with it the quality of your life- increases dramatically.
  • Enthusiasm - deep enjoyment in what you do plus the added element of a goal or a vision that you work toward.
You must make sure that one of them is operating when performing a task in order to prevent creating suffering for yourself and others.

HAPPY 2010!

May you get everything you want and more this year !
