A 5th avenue, manhattan couple or shall I say man decides to change their lifestyle to make no environmental impact for a year. The reason I say man is because it seemed like it was his thing to do and the wife was going along with it for no reason other than being his wife. I'll get back to this later. The changes in their lifestyle included : no electricity for 6 months, cloth diapers for the baby , food from the farmers market, no shopping for a whole year (YIKES!) , minimizing the amount of garbage produced and using a box with worms to eat the garbage that they did produce. At the end they decide what works and what doesn't and they implement what works into their daily lives.

Movie Night : My Sassy Girl
"Even when destiny really wants to accomplish something , it can't do it alone. You still have to show up ... you still have to build a bridge towards the one you love."

Eat Pray Love
Finally went to see Eat Pray Love with my girls tonight. It was just as expected, eye opening, like the book. 1st of all there was eye candy everywhere. 2nd the food in that movie made me want to book a trip to Italy, just sit in front a restaurant and just eat until I explode. I have to attempt to make some Chicken Alfredo tomorrow! Most important: In order to have true love , one must learn to love and know themselves 1st.

"Is there anything I can do for you today?"
I recently just finished watching Groundhog Day for the first time. I have attempted to watch many times before. I have lost track of how many times. I just couldn't stand sitting there watching the same thing happen , over and over and over again. When I finally finished watching it, I was able to see the lesson behind it. You only live once, so do what you want to do today. Stop holding things for tomorrow because tomorrow may never come.My favorite line of the movie was: " Is there anything I can do for you today?" when Bill Murray's character Phil tells Rita when he finally wakes up in bed and she is still laying next to him. Tomorrow finally came but there was no guarantee that another one would come after that. "Is there anything I can do for you today?" is something a lot of people should think about when treating someone they like/love. Treat your mate with love TODAY, not yesterday or tomorrow.

While at the theater...
I saw Watchmen. It was cool but I felt that it dragged too long. I was loosing interest a lot. What really caught my attention in the movie were the earrings that the women were wearing. They were hot !

Last night I watched :
I am intrigued by drug stories from the 70's. Explains my love for the movie Scarface and why I am always the only one listening to the stories of someone who used to party hard during that era (who I shall remain anonymous). Griselda Blanco ... WOW. That's all I have to say. Beware of the gruesome scenes.

What I am Watching Right Now :
This movie is a must see for men and women. It's a love story but its also motivational when it comes to business. Chanel is the shit . She is officially my idol! I can't wait for the release of Coco Avant Chanel this year !

Pride and Glory

I headed to the movies and watched the 10:50 show . This is always a bad idea for me . I straight up fall asleep during late movie times . Pride and Glory kept me up the whole time . It was just crazy . I was thinking about it all day. I would love to see it again . One scene was actually shot around the corner from my crib. I was deeply into the movie when I saw the building on Hull avenue that faces the cemetery. It reminded me of the time my dad's car was moved by the film crew and we thought it was stolen . lol yeah good times.

THE WACKNESS

If you know me personally , you would know how much I loooooooove Indie films. This is the reason why I couldn't wait for my homie to let me know when he was available to see it ( as if I ever wait lol ). I rounded up two of my girlies and headed to the theater after work. This film is only being shown in THREE theaters around the city. It was definitely worth watching. I don't know about watching it twice though...
