A couple of months ago I was introduced to the idea of a new App for the iPhone/Touch and I thought it was amazing. Now, a few months later, the MySneakers App is ready launch on iTunes on April 13th. Read below to get a first glimpse at some of the goodies :o)
My Sneakers houses all the essential tools that any novice, enthusiast or sneaker aficionado would need to find their perfect pair: a search engine referencing an extensive database of the latest and greatest styles, the blogs that review them, and (with GPS function in the iPhone enabled) the stores that carry those styles in closest proximity to the user. It also employs a user rating system, allowing users to see the preferences of their peers and leave their own.
NILO Media Corp. and MySneakers have partnered with major and independent brands , including Nike, Adidas, Converse, PF Flyers, New Balance, Vans, Puma, DC, Creative Recreation , etc., and is open to incorporate and sneaker brand that would like to be part of an app that helps consumers research and find their products. "It's really all about empowering the consumer with a tool that allows for discovery while maintaining the sense of commnity that surrounds sneakers," says Louis Colon III, Nilo Media's co-founder and resident sneaker-head. That sense of community is heightened further by iving users the ability to post sneaker, store and blog findings to their Facebook and Twitter accounts directly from MySneakers!
