Google Priority Inbox

I have been ridiculously bad at checking my email. The more I have the less I even bother . Within the next week, Google will be launching their "Priority Inbox". This is pretty dope because it actually separates your emails based on your past actions towards them. For instance, if you always open and answer an email from a specific someone, Google will automatically  place it in your "Priority inbox". As time goes by, Google becomes better at separating your mail. Check out this Your tube video for more information.

Food for thought

I pay attention to the things that come at me a lot. Sometimes it's a little bit much but it's something that leads me to living my life on purpose. Life lessons are always there in front of your eyes. How often do you pay attention to them? Here is one that has been in my face all weekend and the first thing I read when I woke up this morning:

Our attempts to control people, situations and outcomes is one of the biggest self imposed blocks we can create to prevent all the good stuff from finding us.

The only thing we have control over is our attitude, everything else is outside of our realm. When we accept reality as it is we then gain the perspective and power to change our reality.

When we let go and let people decide for themselves and stop holding on to people who don't want to be held on to we create serenity in our lives. We also create room for those who WANT to be with us.

Let go, let people choose for themselves. Show up, do your work and surrender the outcome.

Making this one choice will bring tremendous benefit to your life. - Mastin Kipp

"I Love my boobies" recap

Winners of Endless Noise Duo Necklace in Pink
This weekend I attended the "I love my Boobies" event at Cammaradas in Spanish Harlem.  The event turned out to be a success. I was very touched by the testimonials read at the event. One of the testimonials read by the daughter of a survivor mentioned the word "miracle". I have been hearing this word like crazy for the past few weeks. In fact , I did experience a miracle last week. I know that things do happen for a reason, but I have never experienced a miracle. That feeling was unforgettable. Miracles do happen when you least expect them to . You just have to let things be and let the universe work it's magic. It's hard to do at times especially when going through a difficult time but all you have to do is TRUST and everything will be alright .

Some weekend inspiration:

When you find the way
Others will find you.
Passing by on the road
They will be drawn to your door.
The way that cannot be heard
Will be echoed in your voice.
The way that cannot be seen
Will be reflected in your eyes.

Hey Amigos y Amigas !
If you have been keeping up with my blog , you may have noticed some changes and additions, like the random Polaroids. These photos are of random things I happen to look at on a daily basis.
A couple of months ago, I read the Kelly Cutrone book (BTW: I am excited that she's working on her 2nd one! ) in which she spoke about "her tribe". By tribe , Kelly meant "a group of supportive, like-minded people, to build you up during tough times and advocates moving around until you find a community where you feel at home." I came to realize that I did have my own tribe. All of my friends are special in their own unique way, but one thing we have in common is that we are all following our dreams and while we do that, we are also very supportive of each other.
This created the idea of putting my friends on the fore front and introducing them to you through the eyes of their camera. Just like I have been doing for the past few days. Along with these pictures you will find links to the dope projects they have been working on, therefore feel free to click away! Stay tuned.... In the meantime , here is another Polaroid:

From the Daily Love

"What's difficult in life is to stay centered when somebody does or says something that tempts us to close our hearts because their heart was closed. That is hard. But that is also how we grow. We go through those circumstances in order to evolve into people who can hold to our loving center no matter what the world throws us."

Mr. Brainwash Edition

From the Daily Love

"Making the choice to listen and then following what you hear in spite of being afraid creates the best kind of living and is the common denominator between those that  live the life of their dreams and those that merely wished they did."

Introducing Levi's Curve I.D.

" a unique, customized fit system focusing on a woman’s shape and proportions, not her size. The three custom fits of the new line — Slight, Demi and Bold Curve — are based on the measurement between a woman’s hip and seat — the greater the difference, the more curvy the body."

From the Daily Love

How Ironic to see this in my email after the movies last night :

If you find yourself wanting to close down because you "followed your Heart" in the past and it didn't work out, remember this: each relationship in your life has been brought to you to teach you and to learn.

If you are seeking Love, you will manifest realtionships that show you your internal blocks to love. Celebrate past hurts because now you have the lessons in your hands and can learn from them.

To shut down is to miss the point. The goal is to remain open to love and become more intelligent about your choices.

Great love is knocking, it's your choice to open up.

Eat Pray Love

Finally went to see Eat Pray Love with my girls tonight. It was just as expected, eye opening, like the book. 1st of all there was eye candy everywhere. 2nd the food in that movie made me want to book a trip to Italy, just sit in front a restaurant and just eat until I explode. I have to attempt to make some Chicken Alfredo tomorrow! Most important:  In order to  have true love , one must learn to love and know themselves 1st.

Cocky Clothing

I forgot to post this up , but a few days shy from the NYC Dominican Parade I was having some dinner on Dykman (Washington Heights)  when I spotted some dudes selling  t-shirts out of a minivan. At first glance I thought they were regular tees with the Dominican flag but  as I got closer realized there was a rooster within the flag and I had to get more info on them. These guys drive up from Orlando, Florida to sell merchandise from their vehicle. I respect Cocky Clothing's hustle.

Quote of the day :

"Find a guy who calls you beautiful instead of hot, who calls you back when you hang up on him, who will lie under the stars and listen to your heartbeat, or will stay awake just to watch you sleep... wait for the boy who kisses your forehead, who wants to show you off to the world when you are in sweats, who holds your hand in front of his friends, who thinks you're just as pretty without makeup on. One who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares and how lucky he is to have YOU... The one who turns to his friends and says, that's her..."

Let's go Kiss ....

This photo from the ending of World War II is one of my favorites. It's so romantic! I was driving along Times Square the other day and spotted the Time Square statue and it immediately lifted my spirits after such a "non-romantic" day for me. The day Romance finds me I wish to Re-Enact this beautiful kiss.
